{saturday scrappin'}

I got my Clip it Up!!! It's still in the box until Monday though.
So I have spent most of the day trying to figure out how to make a sketch in Word. I felt really good because the sketch turned out very nice. The problem was trying to figure out how to save it as a jpg file. To make a long story short, I gave up and ended up re-doing the sketch in Paint. I had to draw flowers with the mouse (which is not easy), but all in all it turned out great. I will share after I post it on the
Memorable Seasons board but you can always stop by and check it out.
Tonight is going to be a short post because I'm super tired of looking at the computer screen after the whole sketch issue. I have some exciting stuff to post tomorrow though!

{we now own a townhouse}

Well it's official.. we own a townhouse in Florida. After a full day and a half of going around and around with the lender.. we finally closed today at 5:00pm. Side note - do not do business with Countrywide. Cornelius was so frustrated with them that he said he is going to make it his personal mission to bring them down. LOL!
On to scrappy chat... I have been so busy trying to figure out how to make a sketch using a combination of word and paint. Why you ask. Because I have no idea which program to buy so that I can easily make my own sketches.

Anyway my sketch will be revealed on Sunday at Memorable Seasons when we post half of the DT challenges for the month of June. Come over and play with us!

I did get a couple of layouts done although I can only share one right now. This is just a quick layout using some scraps and some old papers.

{wednesday was...}

pretty good.
I know this will sound awful, but I finally found a daycare for Caitlyn. She will be starting tomorrow, which will give me some time to get things done before we move and before I start my job. In addition it will allow her to get adjusted to going back to daycare.
On to scrappy chat... I purchased a little "house warming" present for my new scraproom. I am so excited and I can't even begin to explain how bad I need this. I can't wait to get it... this picture came off the Simply Renee site.
Alright well I'm going to get back to scrapping, I am so behind on my "to do" list and I think I just felt my mojo leave the room. Not good. I need some scrap snacks to get me going again but I have nothing here and I can't leave (sleeping baby) oh well.

Here is my May card for My Sketch World. If you have time blog hop over and check out both card sketches and the layout sketch for May, there are also a couple of tutorials for you to check out as well. And don't forget there will be a new sketch at the beginning of the month.
*BTW - Spike got kicked off of Top Chef and I am mad...not that I thought he would win, but I HATE Lisa. She should have been gone, plus Spike added a "little something" to the show.

{one more week}

So I hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day. Cornelius and Caitlyn and I spent the day just "hanging out". We went to the mall and then drove out to the beach. I know what you are thinking...'Oh yeah, pictures' well you are wrong. Although I had the thought Nicole, get the camera before we leave. I ended up leaving not one but both of the cameras at home!! Oh well, at least I have an excuse to go back.
On a happier note -Tomorrow we do the walk through on our new pad. That means of course that closing is only 3 days away!! Can you believe it only 3 days until I get my own scrapbook room, only 3 days until Caitlyn gets to sleep in her crib again and only 3 days until Cornelius gets his satellite TV back!!
Okay I know you came here for scrappy stuff, so here you go.
My dear friend Jemma has her new sketch up on
her site so go check it out. I have got to go get some more pictures printed in "tiny" size so I can give it a try. Also on June 1st the DT over at Memorable Seasons will be posting challenges for the month of June for everyone to enjoy. We will also be doing a 6 week long mini book challenge starting the same day. So if you love challenges or would love to have some "prompts" to help you get a mini book completed then stop on by.
Alright I'm going to get back to the layout I'm working on so that I will hopefully have something to post tomorrow. Hope everyone had an awesome holiday.

{thursday already}

Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday that it was Monday (the last time I posted). I have to admit I got very little scrapping done yesterday and today.

I received a call yesterday and was offered a job... so no more pretending to be a stay at home mom (which by the way I suck at). So I have spent the whole day today looking for a daycare for my bundle of joy. I have a couple of places to look at tomorrow and then hopefully I can make a decision.
As for scrapping... I do have one layout to share. It's missing it journaling, but I don't think that will make that much of a difference. (BTW- the journaling will be on the side, on the orange cardstock) It's a pretty simple page using some Scenic Route and Sassafrass Lass and of course Thickers!!! I can't believe my baby is 6 months old already.

Total after thought, but am I the only one that thinks I need to do something about my super boring banner?

{so you had a good day}

It's Monday and I guess it was a pretty good day. I spent the day with Cornelius before he went out of town (again). We went to see our new house one more time... we close on the 30th.
Let's see I'm watching 13 going on 30 (classic) and I'm eating another piece of Brownie Cheesecake and it is just as good as it was on Friday. Yum-O. When I first got to Florida I hated Publix but now that I've found this cheesecake well.. Hello new friend!!
On to scrapping - so I still can't post my layouts, but I am going to post my altered clipboard (using the Pink Paislee Office Lingo) and I card I made using the Apirl kit from Scrappy Girl Designs.
The other good thing about today was that I finally purchased a copy of Juno!! Yes, I've seen it 3-4 times but it is so good I just had to get my own copy. I also purchased Dan In Real Life and No Reservations. I love Movies!!
Oh one more thing... If you haven't had a chance to grab the new Pink Pailsee Office Lingo papers, check out the April kit from Scrapcakes. There are also some awesome pattern papers from Little Yellow Bicycle. Check it out!

Also check out this kit from Mosh-Posh... very bright and colorful. It includes some Chatterbox? (I bet you are as surprised as I am-they must have heard all the stuff we were saying about them) and some GCD Studios.

{brownie cheesecake}

...the prefect ending to the day.
I have to admit it was a pretty decent Friday. I didn't get any scrapping done thanks to my little "Reeses Pieces", but I plan on finishing an altered clipboard that I started on after I finish blogging. I did want to update that I got my mojo back... I was able to complete 2 layouts and a card with the yummy Pink Paislee Office Lingo line for a project however I can't post them yet. Hopefully tomorrow.
I do have a layout I did for Memorable Seasons using the We R Memory Keepers White Out line. I love how bright and fun these papers are.
Also I have an altered hanging frame I did for Memorable Seasons using the Clearscraps frames and the Little Yellow Bicycle papers. I usually don't alter stuff but this idea just came to me so easily.
Remember you can get all of these items at Memorable Seasons and Jill is having a huge sale right now on everything in the store so go check it out.

{scrappers block}

I'm pretty sure I have it.... I have been working on the same layout for the past 2 hours. I feel like I'm just pushing the same pieces of paper around until they "click" into place. I think I'm trying to re-create the wheel over here! LOL!
So I got my 12 of 12th pictures done. I haven't had a chance to look at them yet, but I plan on getting them printed tomorrow and hopefully getting my layout done as well.
Let's see... my friend Jemma has her new sketch up so go check it out. And also stop by Unpubbed if you get a chance and have some time to play along.
Also if you have some money to spend come on over to Memorable Seasons and check out all the awesome new stuff in the store. There is some really cool Maya Road chipboard and some Teresa Collins products are on sale as well.
Alright well back to scrapping for me and hopefully I will get this layout completed tonight so that I have something to show tomorrow.

{happy mom's day}

I am finally back on track. I was so tired yesterday that I was actually falling asleep while typing which explains why I didn't post yesterday. So first things first I would like to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day. I hope your day was fabulous. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my present hopefully I can get it posted tomorrow.
As for tonight. I wanted to post some of my creations for Memorable Seasons DT. We got a chance to use the new We R Memory Keepers White Out line and it is yummy. I am still working on a couple of layouts.

This post will also serve as a reminder that tomorrow is May 12th so if you are thinking about doing 12 of 12th or if you are already a participant... get your cameras ready. This will be my first month actually getting it done. I'm so excited!

{exploring florida}

I know I said I would post some more creations this evening, but we are currently in a hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Cornelius is letting me use his laptop because I left mine at home.
My wonderful husband took Caitlyn and I on a road trip to Fort Lauderdale and we also went to Miami (not impressed). We were actually looking for the beach (which we did not find). Oh well maybe next time. Anyway we will be back in Fort Myers tomorrow and I will post my pages then.
I'm off to go watch a movie and eat some pizza. I might also run downstairs to the little hotel store for some candy. Yum-O.

{creations...}

Okay I have been super busy doing nothing. I spend all day watching Caitlyn and she is super spoiled so she needs tons of attention. I can only scrap during naps and late at night but by the time she is down I am tired and ready for bed myself. So if it's not obvious there is no way I could be a Stay at Home Mom.... hats off to all of you that do it. I have also been trying to find a job... I had an interview yesterday so keep your fingers crossed for me please.
Well, I finally got some things done. I have been working with the
Scrappy Girl Designs April kit which included some Cherry Arte and Crate Paper (which I love). Yes I am behind because of the moving, but in my defense SGD kits are sent out in the middle of the month.

I still have quite a bit of paper left to work with so be on the look out for a few more pages.
Oh and because I don't want to show you all my hard work in one day. I will wait until tomorrow to post my cards for
Memorable Seasons using the new White Out Line from We R Memory Keepers (super fun).
So just like any other scrapper I spent my first days in Florida looking for (you guessed it) a scrapbook store. The first that I found is the
Strawberry Fields Scrapbook Shop it was very cozy and very close to where I'm currently staying. They had some really cool stuff and all the new stuff too. I'm going to have to go back next week even though I shouldn't.
Oh and by the way... the new layout sketch is up at
My Sketch World so go check it out. And my good friend Jemma's sketch from last Friday is here although she will be putting another sketch up tomorrow. And if you still have some free time after that please go check out Unpubbed for a chance at your 15 minutes of fame and this weeks prize pack is offered by Memorable Seasons. Okay so I'm off to update my personal blog. Hope everyone has a happy Friday.

{back to your normally scheduled program}

Okay I think things are going to get back to normal now. We are officially residents of Florida. Caitlyn and I arrived at about 9:30pm. My scrappy supplies which I had shipped express will be here tomorrow and I can't wait. I can't believe that I didn't get a chance to scrap during National Scrapbook Day/Weekend... never again. There were so many great crops going on this weekend. I hope everyone got some quality scrap time in.
Memorable Seasons had a crop this weekend and it was fun. I hosted a Memorable Seasons logo challenge and made this card as an inspiration example.
Photobucket
Although it's the only thing I actually got to make for NSD, I did have fun with it.
I also got some really yummy stuff in the mail before I left Texas so I have plenty to work on this week. I plan on posting a few pages tomorrow evening...as long as my scrappy box gets here (which reminds me I need to go track it).
So starting tomorrow I should be back to posting and scrapping and blog hopping!!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.
