{subject? I don't know}

This post has no title... I can't think of one.
Anywho, I got tagged by Jemma. I'm supposed to list 5 pieces of music that are important to me. I have to admit I thought this over all night. I love so many different songs that I can't even imagine picking five, but I came up with some...

1. Endless Love (Luther Vandross and Mariah Carey)

*This was our wedding song....hubby picked it out!
2. Dance (Lee Ann Womack)

* I love to sing this song to my daughter. It inspires me to teach her to truly live her life and to not let it pass her by.

3. Landing in London (3 Doors Down)

* I LOVE this song.... I happened to hear it on their CD and well I love it, I love it, I love it.

4. Make it Work (Neyo)

* The lyrics in this song just seem so "real life" to me. I just feel like anyone who's in ANY kind of relationship should be able to relate. -- Sometimes I love you more than you'll ever know know, other times you get on my nervous. That's just reality no it can't always be kisses hugs and beautiful words.

5. Preludes Book 2, Clair De Lune (Debussy)

* With a new baby I have found myself listening to more and more classical music and well this one is my favorite. I could listen to it all day long, plus Caitlyn like it too. :o)

Now that I've used almost an hour to come up with this list I'm going to try to get some scrapping done. I found a new challenge site called Double Dog Dare Ya that I really like, but of course since I just found it I'm already three weeks behind the challenges.

{lovin' it}

Okay Kristen just posted the February kit over at Mosh-Posh and I am lovin' it!!! I am already trying to think of what I can do with it.
Also I went ahead and pre-ordered the February kit from Zany Zinnia. When I saw that little owl picking out at me... I just had to have her. Is she not the cutest?

I can't wait for them to get here!

I got some scrapping done last night... only cards though. I think I might stop making cards for a week or so that way I can get some pages done otherwise I will end the year with 600 cards and 10 layouts!! The first card is for Sketch #2 at My Paper World. The second card is for the sketch over at the Sketches site and the last card is sketch #39 for the SketchThis Cards site. TFL.

{another QK Challenge}

Okay so I had a little time this evening and I completed the current challenges of the Queen Kat Blog Party, which can be found here. The first challenge was to create a card/layout using only the colors black & white (this one was the hardest for me). The second challenge was to create a card using as many colors as you could. The final challenge was to create an ATC with a "tropical" feel. Of course each project had to use at least one stamp.

{and so we start another week}

It's Sunday night and I feel like the weekend just flew by. I had every intention of missing bowling tonight but I ended up going and I bowled terrible!!! I am taking tomorrow night off for sure. I didn't get as much scrapping done this weekend as I planned, but I did get to complete sketch #38 for the SketchThis Cards blog. I also had a chance to sit down and put all the cards I have been making in an album before this they were just stacked in a pile.

I visited my friend Jemma's blog today and totally stole this...

"The Power of 5."

1. Five things I can’t scrapbook without (besides the obvious): Coke or Pepsi, Thickers, Dove chocolate, Law & Order (SVU or CI), my MP3 player!

2. Five places I have traveled to most recently: Local Scrapbook Store, Bowling Alley, Target, Babies R Us and Walmart (Is that sad or what? LOL)

3. Five things I watch on TV: Notes from the Underbelly, The Office, Women's Murder Club, Law & Order SVU, Law & Order CI.

4. Five foods I can’t stand: Ranch Dressing - GROSS, Cottage Cheese, Squash, Watermelon and Cheese Enchiladas. :o(

5. Five things I want to do this year: become a member of a Design Team, have a card or layout published, scrap at least 150 layouts, find a new job, be the best mom in the world!!!

{just a couple}

It is amazing how I can't seem to get anything done. I have two pages of sketches I want to work on and somehow I keep finding a new sketch everyday. I am going to have to decide which ones I want to commit to every week. I did get a couple of things completed. The first is sketch #47 over at CPS the second is Sketch #39 at the SketchThis site (I'm already a week behind) and the last is a quick card for Card Sketch #27 at the Sketches site. I am for some reason loving the colors orange and purple right now!!!

{i've been trying}

This week has been so busy. I knew that once I returned to work it might be hard to actually get some scrapping done, but I've been trying. I guess after another week or so I should have my routine down. I did find a little time to work on a couple of the recent Queen Kat challenges although I didn't get all three done. The first was an ATC card - my first ever. The second was a project using Red, Light Blue and Vanilla.

My goal for the year is to keep up with as many of the Awesome Challenge and sketch sites that are out in "blog land" :o) I plan to get caught up this weekend and hopefully I won't fall behind again (yeah right). I also plan to jump into this awesome Mosh Posh kit - hopefully I'm not trying to get too much done.

{more cards}

I completed another leg of the QK Blog Party and here are the lastest cards. I really liked how the purple and blue came together in a previous card so I decided to use it again. The first card is my take on using a Spotlight Technique and the second I made using my favorite "flower" stamp.

{a little something}

It is crazy how busy this week has been. I can say that it has not been easy getting used to going back to work. I have not gotten to work on time yet. Oh well maybe next week.

I have good news... I won a set of mini stamps in the
Queen Kat Blog Party Challenge. Oh yeah!! I was so excited to see my name. Now I have my eye on winning one of the coffee stain stamps that they are giving away this week. Wish me luck!!!

I had about an hour of free time this evening so I created a card for the
Caardvark Happy New Year challenge. I limited myself to only using scraps on this one. TFL.

{Queen Kat Challenge 2}

The Queen Kat Challenge is still going on, but it does move tomorrow (1/10). I have missed two of the last three challenges but I plan to get back on course with the next three. I can't wait to see if I win one of the prizes they are giving away. Anyway here is my entry for the 1/08 challenge. I'm off to bed...

{Queen Kat Challenge}

I happpened upon this challenge at Scrapscene and I have to admit that I LOVE IT!! I have never really been into cards but I am lovin' making cards. The challenge is for Queen Kat Designs, they are doing a blog party until February 6th. The first three challenges are located at Penny's blog. I completed them both this evening. 1/02 challenge: use notebook paper and a stamp. 1/03 challenge: use embossing on card and use a stamp. I can't wait to see what tomorrows challenge will be.

** 1/04 challenge : use fibers on your card and a stamp. These were all really fun. I can't wait for next weeks challenges.

{day care}

Let's see today was Caitlyn's first day of day care and I'm sure you can guess it was harder on me than it was on her. I probably made it 30 minutes before I wanted to go back and pick her up. This is exactly why I wanted to do a couple of "trial" days before I went back to work.
She looked so cute for her first day that I had to take a picture...
As for scrappin' (ASF) - Today was day #2 of the Load Challenge and I got my page done but I cut it really close this time. I had about 15 minutes to spare so tonight I am going to get somethings together so that I won't be rushing everyday. I have to say though that even though my page was fairly simple I really like how it turned out. This challenge is really teaching me to stop trying to do so much to my pages and keep them simple since I don't have the time to spend 3 hours on one page.

{day one}

I have to admit that this year got off to a great start... why? Because I woke up to this beautiful face. It reminds me that 2007 was indeed a great year because we were blessed with this little angel.
As for scrappin' I completed my first layout for the LOAD challenge at BPS. You would think it would be easy but no. I waited until the end of the day and then had no idea what I wanted to do. Finally I completed a page about my scrappin' goals for 2008. I can already tell that this Layout a Day thing might be a little difficult.

{a new year}

Okay so it's 2008... now what?
