{weekend update}

Okay I realized that I haven't updated since Friday nite. Kudos to those of you that manage to update your blog everyday.
So let's see where do I start. I am in the middle of watching License to Wed... it's pretty funny.
As for scrapping, I have to share that Nikki over at SGD issued a challenge that I just had to do. Her challenge was to use cardboard on your layout.... that's right cardboard! I really had a good time with this and I would recommend you try it if you have time. Here is my layout.

I also completed a card for the Sketch This! Design Team call. I loved the sketch so I figured I would give it a try. If you love sketches and are at all interested in trying out for the Card DT or the Layout DT then check out the site here.
I also wanted to tell you all about a great site called Memorable Seasons (there is a link to the right). It is an online store site and they also have a message board. If you are looking for a place to shop, go check them out. And did I mention that they also have the best prices.

{mojo? oh no!}

It seems that I have lost my mojo. If anyone sees it can you point it back in my direction and if you happen to catch it can you drop it in the mail.

I want to scrap, but I just can't bring myself to sit at my desk and do it. I have plenty of things I could be working on and a few challenges that I need to get completed but it looks like they won't get done tonight. I have decided that although I am trying to use my stash up before buying anything I will treat myself to a scrap shopping spree tomorrow. I figure I can always justify it by saying it's my birthday present to myself.

Now in an effort to have a post that is somewhat interesting (I know what you're thinking "Nicole your posts are always interesting" - well thank you) I wanted to recommend a movie to you. If you have seen it, I hope you loved it and if you haven't I think you might really like it. I love movies where people have accents so it was a win for me either way.

The movie is actually from 1998 but it should be easy to find. Hope everyone has a great Saturday and I will hopefully have some scrappy stuff tomorrow.

{just another manic monday}

If you are singing please know that I am laughing at you. It was such a fun song though!

Okay first things first... Have you seen Juno? Granted I know I am late in watching it but oh my goodness!!! It was such a good movie. If you haven't seen it - see it, rent it, buy it whatever just make sure you watch it. Now be aware that it is not for everyone, but man I loved it. Ellen Page is phenomenal.

Now on to the scrappy stuff. Here is a layout that I did based on a My Sketch World sketch. It's a picture of Caitlyn while we were in Florida. I also used the awesome birdie paper from the March M2R kit. I didn't realize that I still have quite a bit left so I will have to make a few more pages with it.

Hopefully I will have a few more pages to post this week as my friend Origin over at SGD has issued 3 challenges that need to be completed by the end of the month. I need to get all 3 of them done so that I can get closer to my March goal. Well I hope you all had a great Monday and have a wonderful Tuesday.

{My Sketch World Design Team}

I can't believe I was able to keep a secret for a whole 3 days!!!
Glad I can finally say something.
I made the Card Design Team at My Sketch World!!! I am so excited and can't wait to work with the group ladies that Lucy has chosen for this years team.
My Sketch World is a blog that provides layout and card sketches every month for you to work on. Lucy is super friendly and talented so if you get a chance stop by and join us for a couple of challenges.
Here is the card I completed for the DT call. It is based on the sketch that Lucy provided.

{happy st. paddy}

Hope everyone had a fabulous St. Paddy's Day....
I had intended on posting some layouts, but somehow I have lost my mojo. I can't understand how because I even had on my "scrappy ring" from the previous post. I have been staring at the same layout for like 2 hours. I have it started but I don't know where I want to go with it now, so I figured it was best to just walk away for the night. My plan is to finish it tomorrow no matter what.
I did manage to add a couple of pretty awesome songs to my blog... Jemma girl that first one is just for you!!! Enjoy.
So I'm off to get some "creative" sleep... and believe me it does help!

{the countdown begins}

I just realized at 11:12pm while eating a mini Haagen-Dazs that the month is almost over and that means I have a birthday coming up. I'm not upset, but it just seemed like it was January a few days ago and now it's almost April!! Which also means my baby girl is almost 5 months old. OMGosh time flies.
Anyway I didn't get much scrapping done last night or today due to cleaning and the open house. Man I hope our house sells fast... anyone interested? LOL!

I do have a layout and a couple of cards in the works that I hope to get done in the next couple of days. In addition to the awesome M2R kit that I'm not finished working with. I need to take a day off the scrap...Hmmm.

Oh and I got my gift from Kelly at Keep in Touch ... it was this cute MM notebook...Yum-O! And this fabulous ring, and if you think I'm not going to wear it, well then you don't know me!

Also here is a layout that I never posted...

It uses some My Mind's Eye and Cosmo Cricket papers... (Mosh-Posh kits from February)

Hope everyone has a great week....
* Oh one more thing I have been meaning to link this up for the longest time and I always forget. Check out Kristina's blog for some cardmaking inspriation. She does MACM (Make a card Monday) so if you have time tomorrow, stop in.

{out of my comfort zone}

I went back and forth about whether or not I wanted to complete a page for the Scrapping the Music challenge this week. The song is Prince's "Beautiful Girl". Well after going through my picture I came across one of Caitlyn that I have been wanting to scrap for some time now so I figured.. Why not. So here is my page...I am a little uneasy about all the empty space (I normally like alot of color) but all in all I like how it turned out... plus I just love this picture of my princess. I almost thought I was a good photographer when I saw it. Just a lucky shot though I'm sure.

{please pack your knives and go}

Top Chef was so good tonight.... it looks like it's going to be a pretty good season. I haven't picked a favorite yet.
I don't really have any scrappy news to share tonight so this post will be short. I did want to share that one of the members at M2R (Christine) is trying to raise money for a walk she is participating in for Autism Speaks. To help with this she is giving away a pretty nice RAK on her blog. For every $5 that you donate she will put your name in the drawing for the RAK. It's for a good cause so why not stop by and donate. If you can not donate she would appriecate it if you would at least pass the word along about the RAK. Thanks in advance to anyone that donates.
Hope everyone has a great Thursday...

{remember the brat pack}

I got to thinking about my "what about prom Blaine" post and I thought to myself those were some great movies... so in honor of the brat pack I have included a music selection that everyone should love.
As for me... I got some much needed rest today and I am feeling pretty good. I wanted to try and get at least one page done tonight, but that didn't happen. I think because I spent way too much time looking for a video for my blog. Oh well there is always tomorrow.
I do want to share that I happened to go back to the Keep in Touch blog to check out the latest contest when I came across my card... wow!! I was/am very shocked. They also have one of my pages featured on the site for a page idea for one of their kits. I was going to post them, but it's better for me to send you here and here (under I'm too busy already kit). Make sure you check out the site while you are there, Kelly has some awesome kits in three different sizes so you can order which ever suits your needs. I had fun with the kit even though I didn't win the contest that I purchased it for.
I had a happy mail day today; I got my March Mosh-Posh kit today and it is Yummy and some Grungeboard I received as a RAK from the wonderful
Carrie over at SGD. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it yet, but I will post a picture once I use it.
Okay so enjoy the music and have a great week!!!

{top chef}

Tell me I'm not the only person that's excited about the new season... (it starts on Wednesday)
I got into this show last season and I love it. Man, I wish I could cook.

Had an okay weekend. Spent most of my time caring for my baby girl- who is sick, but like any good scrapper I managed to get some time to scrap a couple of pages. I completed one page (Daycare) for what was basically a "scrap a page Saturday" challenge over at SGD. I used some of myFebruary Zany Ziannia kit finally.
I also made a card for the challenge over at My Sketch World. Not sure how I feel about it, but it's done.

I also noticed that my photos didn't come out all that great.. sorry. Lastly, I just had to show you the March kit over at Mosh-Posh, check it out here. It should be coming any day now and I can't wait to get it. Just in time for Spring... Jemma your kit is getting sent to me and then I am mailing it to you after I add a little something!!

Well I'm going to end my day with a Reese's Peanut Butter Egg. Yum-O. Have a great Monday!

Oh BTW I won a contest over at Keep In Touch, I was so excited... you had to come up with a caption to go inside of a card. Maybe I should send my resume to Hallmark?

{i'm not gonna write you a love song}

I have no idea what song this is...but I love it. (update:I know now)
"Head under water and you tell me to breathe easy for awhile. Breathing gets harder even I know that" And as you can see I have added it to my page for you all to enjoy for a few days!!
I have also decided that my titles will be random from now on.. I mean why not. It's my blog.

Okay so I have been busy this week, I have been working on a few things for a couple of DT calls. Hopefully they will work out, I normally wouldn't share this information because I thought that I would be embarassed to tell the whole world if I tried and failed.. but I have to be honest the whole world is not reading my blog!!! And I'm a "real" person... I do fail sometimes.

I received a fabulous kit yesterday from Moments-2-Remember. I just loved the bright colors and the paper is just darn cute. I have only made a card so far... but I plan on getting some pages done this weekend. Are you lovin' that birdie or what?

Next, I really want to invite everyone over to Scrappy Girl Designs... the board is so fun. There are some really great ladies over there. But don't take my word for it... go check it out.
I thought I had something else to say...but I'm so hungry I can't think straight.. and speaking of hunger... I got some Reese's easter eggs!! Oh Yeah!!
Have a fabulous Friday everyone.... I plan to.

Okay I had to update... my hubby brought me a waffle for dinner. Man, I love him. Anytime you can end your day with a waffle and some bacon.. well need I say more?

{and tomorrow is...}

You guessed it, Monday!!! Which doesn't make me happy.
So I have a few things to post today... okay first Cornelius and I went to the movies last night to see.. Semi-Pro!!

I am a huge Will Ferrell fan. I personally think he is hilarious. So my review of the film... It was funny, but I still prefer Anchorman, and the language was not what I expected. If you are a fan go see it, if not wait until video.

Now on to the new candy review. I first have to say I love Skittles... so I bought these just because they were Skittles but I knew it wasn't going to be good. Chocolate Skittles - in the package their are smores, vanilla, brownie fudge, chocolate caramel and chocolate pudding. If you can't see right now... I am frowning up. I must admit that I ate the vanilla out of the package, but that's it. So thumbs down for me, but of course feel free to venture to your nearest Wal-mart to grab a pack and let me know what you think. On a positive note I did come across a little gem by Haagen Dazs. Apparently they make these cute little individual cups so I didn't even feel bad about eating the whole thing... these you MUST go find. You can tell just how cute they are next to the skittle bag.
Finally on to scrapping... just a couple of cards today. The first is for a challenge at Scrappy Girl Designs - create a card with only cardstock, 1 rub-on, and a drawing or doodling. If you have time give it a try and come on over to the message board, the ladies at SGD are so friendly and the challenges are great. The second card is the one that I made for the Ezine... just a little Spring card. TFL.
